Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26529

Ali bin Hajar narrated to us, Issa bin Yunus narrated to us, Husayn Al-Mu’allim narrated to us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Buraidah, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn, he said I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about a man’s prayer while sitting, and he said, “Whoever prays standing is better, and whoever prays sitting has the right.” Half the reward of one who is standing, and whoever prays while asleep will have half the reward of one sitting.” He said, and in the chapter on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, Anas, and Al-Sa’ib And Ibn Umar. Abu Issa said: The hadith of Imran bin Husayn is a good and authentic hadith.
