Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27041

Qutaibah narrated to us, Sufyan bin Uyaynah narrated to us, on the authority of Amr bin Dinar, on the authority of Amr bin Abdullah bin Safwan, on the authority of Yazid bin Shayban, he said, Ibn Murabba’ Al-Ansari came to us while we were standing in a place where Amr was far away from him - and he said, “I am the messenger of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” To you he says: “Be on your feelings, for you are on a legacy from the legacy of Abraham.” He said, and in the chapter on the authority of Ali, Aisha, and Jubayr bin Mutim and Al-Sharid bin Suwayd Al-Thaqafi. Abu Issa said: The hadith of Ibn Murbi’ Al-Ansari is a good hadith. We do not know it except from a hadith. Ibn Uyaynah, on the authority of Amr bin Dinar, and Ibn Murabba’, whose name is Yazid bin Murabba’ Al-Ansari, and only this one hadith is known about him.
