Hadith #27109
Ibn Abi Umar told us, Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Amr bin Dinar, on the authority of Saeed bin Jubayr, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: We were with the Prophet May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, while he was traveling, he saw a man whose camel had fallen and died while he was in ihram. Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Wash him with water and lotus leaves, and shroud him in his clothes, and do not cover his head, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection, wearing Ihram or reciting the Talbiyah.” Abu said. Jesus, this is a good and authentic hadith. This is acted upon according to some people of knowledge, and it is the saying of Sufyan Al-Thawri, Al-Shafi’i, and Ahmad. And Ishaq. Some of the people of knowledge said: If a person in ihram dies, his ihram is interrupted and the same should be done to him as would be done to a non-muhrim.
