Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27177

Abu Kurayb told us, Muawiyah bin Hisham told us, on the authority of Imran bin Anas al-Makki, on the authority of Ata’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace He said: “Remember the virtues of your dead and refrain from treating them unfairly.” Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith. I heard Muhammad say: Imran bin Anas Al-Makki is an undeniable hadith, and some of them narrated it on the authority of Ata’ on the authority of Aisha. He said, Imran bin Abi Anas is an older Egyptian. I am more reliable than Imran bin Anas Al-Makki.
