Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27470

Ali bin Khashram told us, Issa bin Yunus told us, on the authority of Saeed, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Sulayman al-Yashkari, on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah, that The Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Whoever has a partner in a shareholding, let him not sell his share of that until he offers it to his partner.” He said. Abu Issa, this is a hadith whose chain of transmission is not connected. I heard Muhammad say: Suleiman Al-Yashkari is said to have died during the lifetime of Jabir bin Abdullah. He said, “Neither Qatada nor Abu Bishr heard from him.” Muhammad said, “And we do not know of any of them hearing from Sulayman al-Yashkari.” Unless it was Amr ibn Dinar, for perhaps he heard from him during the life of Jabir ibn Abdullah. He said, “Qatada only narrates on the authority of Suleiman’s story.” Al-Yashkari, and he had a book on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah. Abu Bakr Al-Attar Abdul-Quddus told us, he said, Ali bin Al-Madini said, Yahya bin Saeed said, Sulaiman Al-Taymi said: They took the manuscript of Jabir bin Abdullah to Al-Hasan Al-Basri, and he took it or He said, “They narrated it and they took it to Qatada, so they narrated it and brought it to me, but I did not show it.” He says, “I returned it.”
