Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27582

Hanad narrated to us, Waki’ narrated to us, on the authority of Yazid bin Ziyad, similar to the hadith of Muhammad bin Rabi’ah, but he did not narrate it. He said, and in the chapter on the authority of Abu Huraira, and Abdullah bin Amr. Abu Issa said: We do not know of the hadith of Aisha, except from the hadith of Muhammad bin Rabi’ah, on the authority of Yazid bin Ziyad Al-Dimashqi, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Urwa, on the authority of Aisha, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. And Waki’ narrated it on the authority of Yazid bin Ziyad in a similar manner, but he did not transmit it as a chain of transmission. The narration of Waki’ is more authentic. Something like this was narrated on the authority of more than one of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that they said something like that. Yazid bin Ziyad al-Dimashqi is weak in hadith, and Yazid bin Abi Ziyad al-Kufi is stronger than this and older.
