Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27588

Qutaibah told us, Al-Layth told us, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Urwa, on the authority of Aisha, that the Quraysh were concerned about the Makhzoumiya woman. Then Osama spoke to him, and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “Should I intercede regarding one of the limits set by God?” Then he got up and delivered a speech, saying, “Only.” Those before you were destroyed because if the honorable among them stole, they would abandon him, and if the weak among them stole, they would abide by him. The punishment, and by God, if Fatima, the daughter of Muhammad, had stolen, I would have cut off her hand.” He said, and in the chapter on the authority of Masoud Ibn Al-Ajama, and it is called Masoud Ibn al-Ajam, Ibn Umar, and Jabir. Abu Issa said the hadith of Aisha is a good and authentic hadith.
