Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27649

Muhammad bin Bashar told us, Yahya bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Sufyan al-Thawri, he said, my father told us, on the authority of Abaya bin Rifa’ah, on the authority of Rafi’ Ibn Khadij, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, similar to it, but he did not mention Abaya on the authority of his father, and this is more correct, and Abaya was heard from Rafi’. The people of knowledge do not think that this should be done with a tooth or a bone.
