Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27903
Hadith #27903
Al-Hasan bin Ali Al-Khalal told us, Abdul Razzaq told us, Muammar told us, on the authority of Thabit, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, made A seal made of paper, and Muhammad, the Messenger of God, engraved on it and then said, “Do not inscribe on it.” Abu Issa said this is an authentic hadith. Good. The meaning of his saying is “Do not inscribe on it.” He forbade anyone from engraving Muhammad, the Messenger of God, on his ring.
