حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ بِنْتُ مِلْحَانَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ فَهَلْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ تَعْنِي غُسْلاً إِذَا هِيَ رَأَتْ فِي الْمَنَامِ مِثْلَ مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ قَالَ ‏ "‏ نَعَمْ إِذَا هِيَ رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ قُلْتُ لَهَا فَضَحْتِ النِّسَاءَ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ عَامَّةِ الْفُقَهَاءِ أَنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ إِذَا رَأَتْ فِي الْمَنَامِ مِثْلَ مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ فَأَنْزَلَتْ أَنَّ عَلَيْهَا الْغُسْلَ ‏.‏ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ وَالشَّافِعِيُّ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ وَخَوْلَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ وَأَنَسٍ ‏.‏

Ibn Abi Umar told us, Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Hisham bin Urwa, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Zainab bint Abi Salamah, on the authority of Umm Salamah, She said: Umm Sulaym bint Milhan came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, O Messenger of God, God is not shy from the truth. For a woman, it means washing if she sees in a dream something like what a man sees. He said, “Yes, if she sees water, let her wash.” Umm Salamah said, “I told her, ‘You have exposed women, O Umm Sulaim.’ Abu Issa said, ‘This is a good and authentic hadith.’ It is the opinion of most jurists.” That If a woman sees in a dream something like what a man sees, then it is revealed that she must wash. This is what Sufyan al-Thawri and al-Shafi’i say. He said, and on the authority of Umm Sulaim, Khawla, Aisha, and Anas.
