Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28012

Yusuf bin Hammad Al-Ma’ni Al-Basri narrated to us, Othman bin Abd al-Rahman al-Jumahi narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ziyad, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “Spread greetings, spread food, and suffocate enthusiasm, and you will inherit gardens.” He said, and in the section On the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, Ibn Omar, Anas, Abdullah bin Salam, Abdul Rahman bin Aish, and Shurayh bin Hani, on the authority of his father. Abu Issa said: This is a good, authentic, and strange hadith from the hadith of Ibn Ziyad on the authority of Abu Hurairah.
