Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28207

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, he said, Muhammad bin Ja’far narrated to us, he said, Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Al-Hasan, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn, The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade cauterization. He said, “So we were tested and burned, but we did not succeed, nor did we succeed.” Abu Issa said this. A good and authentic hadith. Abd al-Quddus ibn Muhammad narrated to us, he said, Amr ibn Asim narrated to us, he said, Hammam narrated to us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Al-Hasan, On the authority of Imran bin Husayn, he said, “We were forbidden from cauterization.” Abu Issa said, and in the chapter on the authority of Ibn Masoud, Uqba bin Amir, and Ibn Abbas. This is a good and authentic hadith.
