Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28233

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, he said, Abu Amer Al-Aqdi narrated to us, he said, Ibrahim bin Ismail bin Abi Habiba narrated to us, on the authority of Dawud bin Husayn, On the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to teach them about fever and all aches by saying, “ In the name of God the Great, I seek refuge in God Almighty from the evil of every race of fire and from the evil of the heat of the Fire.” Abu Issa said, “This is a strange hadith.” We know it only from the hadith of Ibrahim bin Ismail bin Abi Habibah. And Ibrahim is weakened in the hadith. It is narrated “A race will be disgraced.” .
