Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28333

They said O Messenger of God, you prayed a prayer that you had not previously prayed. He said, “Yes, it is a prayer of desire and dread. I asked God about it for three things, and He gave me Two things, but he denied me one. I asked him not to destroy my nation with a year, and he gave it to me. I asked him not to let an enemy dominate them. He changed them and gave it to me. I asked him not to taste the evil of one another, so he denied it.” Abu Issa said: This is a good, strange, and authentic hadith. And on the authority of Saad and Ibn Umar.
