Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28334

Qutaibah narrated to us, Hammad bin Zaid narrated to us, on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Abu Qilaba, on the authority of Abu Asma al-Rahbi, on the authority of Thawban, he said, the Messenger said: God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, “Indeed, God has planted the earth for me, and I have seen its easts and its wests, and that my nation’s dominion will reach what has been planted for me of it.” And I was given the red and the yellow treasures, and I asked my Lord for my nation not to destroy them with a common law and not to give power over them to any enemy other than their souls, and He makes their eggs permissible. And indeed, my Lord said, O Muhammad, if I make a decree, it will not be rejected, and I have given you It is for your nation that I will not destroy them with a common law, and that I will not impose over them an enemy other than themselves who would destroy their homeland, even if they unite against them. “Who among its regions, or he said, from among its regions, until some of them destroy others and some take others captive.” Abu Issa said.
