Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28404

Sufyan bin Waki’ told us, Abd al-A’la bin Abd al-A’la told us, on the authority of al-Jariri, on the authority of Abu Nadra, on the authority of Abu Sa’id, he said, “Companionate with me.” Ibn Sayyid, either a pilgrim or a Umrah performer, so the people departed and he and I were left behind. When I finished with him, I was terrified by him and felt lonely because of him. From what the people say about it, so when I came down, I said to him, “Put your belongings where that tree is.” He said, “So he saw sheep, so he took the cup and went off, and it milked it.” Then he brought me some milk and said to me, “O Abu Sa’id, drink.” I hated to drink anything from his hand because of what the people said about it, so I told him this. Today is a summer day, and I hate milk. He said to me, “Abu Sa’id, I wanted to take a rope and tie it to a tree, then I would suffocate.” When people say to me and in me: Have you seen the one to whom my speech is hidden? It will not be hidden from you. Aren’t you the most knowledgeable of people about the hadith of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace? And peace, O community of Ansar, did not the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say that he is an infidel and I am a Muslim? Did not the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say that he is sterile and will not have children, and he has I left my son in Medina. Didn’t the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say, “He shall not enter Mecca and Medina?” Aren't you one of the people of Medina, and now I am setting off with you to Mecca? By God, he continued to do this to the point that I said, "Perhaps he has been lied to." Then he said, O Abu Saeed, by God, I will tell you true news. By God, I know him, I know his father, and I know where he is at the moment on Earth. So I said, “Fuck you for the rest of the day.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good and authentic hadith.”
