Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28445

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, Al-Ansari narrated to us, Ash’ath narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Hasan, on the authority of Abu Bakra, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said one day “ Who among you has seen a vision? Then a man said, “I saw as if a scale had descended from the sky.” You and Abu Bakr were weighed, and you prevailed. You are in favor of Abu Bakr, and Abu Bakr and Omar weighed, and Abu Bakr preferred, and Omar and Uthman weighed, and Omar preferred, then the scales were lifted. So we saw Hatred in the face of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
