Hadith #29129
Ibn Abi Umar told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Mujalid, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, on the authority of Adi bin Hatim, he said, I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about fasting, and he said : (Until the white thread becomes distinct to you from the black thread) He said, “So I took two headbands, one of them white. The other was black, so I started looking at them, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me something that Sufyan did not remember. He said, “It is only night and day.” “Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
