Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29154

Hanad narrated to us, Abu Muawiyah narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Shaqiq ibn Salamah, on the authority of Abdullah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever swears an oath On the right side, in which he is an immoral person, to seize the wealth of a Muslim man, and he met God while He was angry with him.” Then Al-Ash’ath bin Qais said: In me, by God, it was. There was land between me and a man of the Jews, and he denied me. So I presented it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me, “Do you have Clear evidence.” I said, “No.” Then he said to the Jew, “Swear.” I said, “O Messenger of God, then he should swear and go.” With my wealth, then God, Blessed and Most High, revealed: (Indeed, those who buy God’s covenant and their oaths for a small price) until the end of the verse. Abu said Jesus, this is a good and authentic hadith. On the authority of Ibn Abi Awfa.
