Hadith #29730
Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, Abu Muawiyah told us, Asim Al-Ahwal told us, on the authority of Abu Uthman, on the authority of Zayd bin Arqam, may God be pleased with him, who said that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, says: “O God, I seek refuge in You from laziness, inability, and miserliness.” And with this chain of transmission on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, peace be upon him, was seeking refuge from senility and the torment of the grave. He said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
