Abu Kurayb told us, Abu Muawiyah told us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Abu Salih, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, or on the authority of Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri, they said, he said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “Indeed, to God are angels who travel on earth, in addition to those who record people. When they find people, they mention them.” They call out to God, “Come to your purpose.” They will come and be escorted to the heaven of the world. Then God will say: “For what reason have you left my servants?” What they do and they say: We left them to praise you and glorify you and remember you. He said and he says: Have they seen me? They say no. He said and he says So how if they saw me? He said, and they say, “If they had seen you, they would have praised you more strongly, glorified you more strongly, and mentioned you more strongly.” He said, and he says, “And what?” They ask for something. He said, and they say, They ask for Paradise. He said, and he says, And have they seen it? He said, and they say, No. He said, and he says, So how if? They saw her, he said They say, “If they had seen it, they would have more desire for it and more keenness for it.” He said, “From what thing do they seek refuge?” They said, “They seek refuge from the Fire.” He says, “And he says, ‘Have they seen it?’ They say, ‘No.’ He says, ‘So how if they had seen it?’ They say, ‘Had they seen it, they would have been more likely to flee from it.’” And more fearful than it, and more intense in seeking refuge than it. He said, “And he says, ‘I bear you as witness that I have forgiven them.’ Then they say, ‘There is so-and-so among them.’” The sinner did not want them, but came to them for a need. Then he said, “They are a people who do not have a miserable companion for them.” Abu Issa said: This is a good hadith. True It was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah through a different chain of transmission.
