Hadith #40019
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ رَمْىُ الْجِمَارِ وَالسَّعْىُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ لِإِقَامَةِ ذِكْرِ اللّٰهِ». رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِىُّ وَالدَّارِمِىُّ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِىُّ: هٰذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
On the authority of Aisha, on the authority of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: “The stoning of the stones and the running between Safa and Marwah were only performed to establish the remembrance of God.” It was narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and Al-Darimi, and Al-Tirmidhi said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith.
