Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #52255

In the tents of Umm Ma'abad, they asked her for meat and dates to buy from her, but they did not get any of that from her. The people were old widows, so he looked. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, looked at a sheep in the tent and said: “What is this sheep, O Umm Ma’abad?” She said: A sheep The effort left her behind the sheep. He said: “Is there any milk in it?” She said: It is more stressful than that. He said: “Do you give me permission to milk her?” She said: May my mother and father be sacrificed for you. If you see milk in it, milk it. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called and wiped her udder with his hand and called upon God Almighty. He prayed for her sheep, and she was surprised at him and responded and chewed her cud. So he called for a vessel for the sheep to lie down, and he milked snow into it until it became beautiful, then he watered it until it was quenched. He gave his companions something to drink until they had had enough, then the last of them drank, then he milked it a second time after starting until he filled the vessel, then he left it thereafter.
