أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَيْزَارٍ أَخْبَرَنِي، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : حَدَّثَنِي صَاحِبُ هَذِهِ الدَّارِ، وَأَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى دَارِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَفْضَلُ أَوْ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ :" الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى مِيقَاتِهَا "
Abu Al-Walid Al-Tayalisi told us, Shu’bah told us, he said: Al-Walid bin Aizar told me, he said I heard Abu Amr Al-Shaybani, saying The owner of this house told me, and he gestured with his hand to Abdullah’s house, that he asked the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: What is the work? Is it better or more beloved to God? He said: “Prayer at its appointed time.”
