حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَلَا يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ الدُّعَاءِ إِلَّا فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ "
Othman bin Muhammad told us, Abdah told us, on the authority of Sa`id, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas, who said: “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace He raises his hands in any supplication except when praying for rain.”
