Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #54464

Yahya bin Hassan told us, Ibrahim bin Saad told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Ibn Al-Musayyab, and Abu Salamah bin Abdul Rahman, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “whenever he wanted to supplicate against anyone or pray for someone, he would recite Qunoot after Bowing, perhaps he said when he said: “God hears those who praise Him. Our Lord, and praise be to You. O God, save Al-Walid bin Al-Walid and Salamah bin Hisham. And Ayyash bin Abi Rabi’ah, and the oppressed among the believers, O God, intensify your influence on Mudar, and make them years like the years of Joseph.” He said this loudly, saying in some of his prayers during the Fajr prayer: “O God, curse so-and-so and so-and-so” to two neighborhoods of the Arabs, so God sent down God Almighty: #You have nothing to do with the matter, whether He turns to them or punishes them, for they are wrongdoers.
