Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #55002

Muhammad bin Yusuf told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Alqamah, on the authority of Abdullah, he said: Uthman met him And I was with him, so he said to him: O Abu Abdul Rahman, do you have a virgin maid who reminds you? He said: I said: That is because I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. God He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “O young people, whoever among you is able to do that, let him get married, for it will lower one’s gaze and protect one’s chastity.” And whoever is not able, let him fast, for fasting is a reward for him.”
