Hadith #55528
أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْبِرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ لَا أَسْأَلُ عَنْهُ أَحَدًا.
قَالَ :" اتَّقِ اللَّهَ، ثُمَّ اسْتَقِمْ ".
قَالَ : قُلْتُ : ثُمَّ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ؟.
قَالَ : فَأَشَارَ إِلَى لِسَانِهِ
Saeed bin Al-Rabi’ told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Ya’la bin Ata’, he said: I heard Abdullah bin Sufyan, on the authority of his father, he said: I said : O Messenger of God, tell me about something in Islam that I do not ask anyone about. He said: “Fear God, then be steadfast.” He said: I said: Then what? He said : He pointed to his tongue
