Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #55698

Muhammad bin Yusuf narrated to us, Sufyan Al-Thawri narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Qais Al-Awdi, on the authority of Huzail bin Shurahbil, he said: A man came to my father Musa Al-Ash’ari, and to Salman bin Rabi’ah, who asked them about a daughter, a son’s daughter, and a sister to a mother and father, and they said: The daughter gets half, and what What remains is for the sister, and bring Ibn Masoud, for he will follow us. So the man came to Abdullah and asked him about that, and he said: Then I have gone astray. And I am not of those who are guided, and I decree according to what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, decreed: for the daughter half, and for the son’s daughter. One-sixth, and what remains goes to the sister.”
