Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #55733

Muhammad ibn Yusuf narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Ibrahim, who said: “Ali used to share the grandfather up to six with the brothers. He gives each owner what is due his share, and he does not inherit from a maternal brother with a grandfather, nor a maternal sister, and the grandfather with the child does not inherit more than a sixth. Unless it is someone else, and he does not share a paternal brother with a paternal brother and a mother, and if she is a paternal and maternal sister, and a paternal brother, he gives the sister Half, and the other half is divided into two halves between the grandfather and the brother, and if they are brothers and sisters, share them with the grandfather up to one-sixth.
