Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26181

Hanad narrated to us, Abdah bin Sulaiman narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ishaq, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ibrahim, on the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Zayd bin Khalid Al-Juhani said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying, “If it were not that I would make it difficult for my nation, I would have ordered them to use the siwak at every prayer.” And I delayed the evening prayer until a third of the night.” He said, “Zaid bin Khalid was witnessing the prayers in the mosque with his siwak on his ear.” “The place of the pen is from the ear of the scribe. He does not stand up for prayer unless he leans in and then returns it to its place.” Abu Issa said: This is a good hadith. True.
