حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْقَزَّازُ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ فَأَقْبَلَ بِهِمَا وَأَدْبَرَ بَدَأَ بِمُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ بِهِمَا إِلَى قَفَاهُ ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي بَدَأَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَالْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ وَعَائِشَةَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَصَحُّ شَيْءٍ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ وَأَحْسَنُ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ الشَّافِعِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ ‏.‏
Ishaq bin Musa Al-Ansari narrated to us, Maan bin Isa Al-Qazzaz narrated to us, Malik bin Anas narrated to us, on the authority of Amr bin Yahya, on the authority of his father, On the authority of Abdullah bin Zayd, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, wiped his head with his hands, and with them he faced and turned, starting with the front of his head, then He took them to the back of his neck, then put them back until he returned to the place from which he started, then he washed his feet. Abu Issa said, and in the chapter about Muawiyah, Al-Miqdam bin Maadikarib, and Aisha. Abu Issa said the hadith of Abdullah bin Zayd is the most authentic and best thing in this section. And with it Al-Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq say:
