Hadith #27619
Muhammad bin Amr Al-Sawwaq told us, Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad told us, on the authority of Salih bin Muhammad bin Zaida, on the authority of Salem bin Abdullah bin Omar, on the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, on the authority of Omar, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever you find committing wrongdoing in the path of God, burn “His belongings.” Salih said, “I went to Maslama and with him was Salim bin Abdullah, and he found a man who had committed fraud, so he narrated this hadith to Salim.” So he ordered that his possessions be burned, and a Qur’an was found in his possessions. Salem said, “Sell this and give its price in charity.” Abu Issa said this hadith. Strange no We know it only from this point of view. This is acted upon according to some people of knowledge, and it is the view of Al-Awza’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq. He said: I asked Muhammad about this hadith, and he said: This was only narrated by Salih bin Muhammad bin Zaida, and he is Abu Waqid al-Laythi, and he is rejected. Hadith Muhammad said, “It was narrated in more than one hadith on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, about the forest, and he did not order its possessions to be burned.” Abu Issa said, “This is a strange hadith.”
