Ahmad ibn Mani` and Ali ibn Hajar narrated to us, saying: Ismail ibn Ulayyah narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Rayhana, on the authority of Safina, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, narrated He used to perform ablution with the mudd and bathe with the saa’. He said, and on the authority of Aisha, Jabir, and Anas bin Malik. Abu Issa said. The hadith of Safinah is a good and authentic hadith. Abu Rayhanah’s name is Abdullah bin Matar. This is how some people of knowledge viewed ablution. With the mudd and washing with the saa’. Al-Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq said: This hadith does not mean, based on timing, that it is not permissible to do more than it or Less than that, which is sufficient.
