Hadith #26268
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ رُخْصَةً فِي أَوَّلِ الإِسْلاَمِ ثُمَّ نُهِيَ عَنْهَا .
Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak told us, Yunus bin Yazid told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Sahl bin Saad, on the authority of Ubayy ibn Ka’b said, “Water from water was only permitted at the beginning of Islam, then it was forbidden.”
