Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26867

It was narrated on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that he said, “The separation between our fasting and the fasting of the People of the Book is the one who eats dawn.” Qutaybah told us about that. Al-Layth told us, on the authority of Musa bin Ali, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Qays, the client of Amr bin Al-Aas, on the authority of Amr bin Al-Aas, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And peace be upon him. He said, “And this is a hasan and authentic hadith. The people of Egypt say Musa bin Ali, and the people of Iraq say Musa bin Ali.” He is Musa bin Ali bin Rabah Al-Lakhmi.
