Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26871

Nasr bin Ali told us, Yazid bin Zurayi told us, Al-Jariri told us, he said, Sufyan bin Waki’ told us, Abd al-A’la bin Abd al-Ala, on the authority of al-Jariri, on the authority of Abu Nadra, on the authority of Abu Sa`id al-Khudri, he said: We were traveling with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Among us is the fasting person and among us is the one who breaks the fast. The one who breaks the fast does not find fault with the fasting person, nor does the fasting person find fault with the one who breaks the fast. They were of the opinion that whoever found the strength and fasted well. And whoever finds weakness and breaks his fast, it is good. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
