Hadith #26943
Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Abu Dawud told us, Shu`bah told us, on the authority of Habib bin Zayd, he said, I heard a female servant of ours called Layla. She narrates on the authority of his grandmother, Umm Amara bint Ka’b al-Ansariyya, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, entered upon her and she brought him food and he said, “ “Eat.” She said, “I am fasting.” Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “The angels pray over the fasting person when he eats, until he finishes.” “.And perhaps he said “until they are satisfied.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith, and it is more correct than the hadith of Sharik.
