Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27090

Ahmad bin Abdah al-Dhabi told us, Ziyad bin Abdullah told us, on the authority of Yazid bin Abi Ziyad, on the authority of Mujahid, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, on the authority of The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “Umrah is included in the Hajj until the Day of Resurrection.” He said, and in the chapter on the authority of Suraqa bin Malik bin Jasham And Jabir bin Abdullah. Abu Issa said the hadith of Ibn Abbas is a hasan hadith. The meaning of this hadith is that there is no harm in performing Umrah in the months of Hajj. This is what Al-Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq said. The meaning of this hadith is that the people of pre-Islamic times did not perform Umrah during the months Hajj. When Islam came, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, gave permission for that and said, “Umrah is included in Hajj until the Day of Resurrection.” Meaning, there is no problem. Umrah during the months of Hajj. The months of Hajj are Shawwal, Dhul-Qa’dah, and the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah. A man should not The Hajj is performed except during the months of Hajj. The sacred months are Rajab, Dhul-Qa’dah, Dhul-Hijjah, and Muharram. This is what more than one person said.
