Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27634

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, Yahya bin Saeed narrated to us, on the authority of Mujalid, he said, Sufyan bin Waki’ narrated to us, Hafs bin Ghayath narrated to us, On the authority of Mujalid, on the authority of Abu al-Wadak, on the authority of Abu Sa`id, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said, “The slaughter of the fetus is the slaughter of its mother.” He said, and in the chapter on the authority of Jabir, Abu Umamah, Abu al-Darda’, and Abu Hurairah. Abu Issa said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith, and it was narrated through another route on the authority of Abu Saeed. And this is acted upon according to the people of knowledge among the Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and others, and it is the saying of Sufyan al-Thawri and Ibn Al-Mubarak, Al-Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq. And Abu Al-Wadak’s name is Jabr bin Nawf.
