حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الأَزْرَقُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ لَيْسَ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ نَذْرٌ فِيمَا لاَ يَمْلِكُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏
Ahmad ibn Mani` told us, Ishaq ibn Yusuf al-Azraq told us, on the authority of Hisham al-Dastawai, on the authority of Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, on the authority of Abu Qalabah, on the authority of Thabit ibn al-Dahhak, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: “The servant does not have to vow about what he does not possess.” He said, and on the authority of Abdul Allah bin Amr and Imran bin Husayn. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
