Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28368

Salih bin Abdullah Al-Tirmidhi told us, Al-Faraj bin Fadalah Abu Fadalah Al-Shami told us, on the authority of Yahya bin Saeed, on the authority of Muhammad bin Amr bin Ali, on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If my nation does fifteen characteristics, it will be lawful for them.” “The affliction.” It was said, “What is this, O Messenger of God?” He said, “If the spoils are taken over, the trust is taken as spoils, and the zakat is paid, and the man obeys.” He was unjust to his wife, he was kind to his friend, he was unjust to his father, the voices were raised in the mosques, and the leader of the people was the most humble of them and the most generous. The man was out of fear of his own evil, and he drank alcohol, and wore silk, and took on qarats and harps, and the last of this nation cursed the first of it. So let them wait for when That is a red wind or an eclipse and a disfigurement.” Abu Issa said, “This is a strange hadith that we do not know from the hadith of Ali bin Abi Talib.” Except from this perspective, and we do not know of anyone who narrated it on the authority of Yahya bin Saeed Al-Ansari except Al-Faraj bin Fadalah. And Al-Faraj bin Fadalah Some of the people of hadith have spoken about it and considered it weak due to its memorization, and it was narrated from him by Waki’ and more than one of the imams.
