Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28499

Abd ibn Humayd narrated to us, Abd al-Samad ibn Abd al-Warith narrated to us, Harith ibn al-Sa’ib narrated to us, he said, I heard Al-Hasan, he says, Humran narrated to me. Ibn Aban, on the authority of Uthman Ibn Affan, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “The son of Adam has no right to anything other than these qualities.” “He will be sheltered by a garment that covers his private parts, and bread and water.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith, and it is the hadith of Al-Harith bin Al-Sa'ib. And I heard Abu Dawud Sulayman bin Salam Al-Balkhi say: Al-Nadr bin Shumayl said: The bread is dry, meaning it does not contain any edamame.
