Hadith #28561
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَمُوتُ إِلاَّ نَدِمَ " . قَالُوا وَمَا نَدَامَتُهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ " إِنْ كَانَ مُحْسِنًا نَدِمَ أَنْ لاَ يَكُونَ ازْدَادَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُسِيئًا نَدِمَ أَنْ لاَ يَكُونَ نَزَعَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَيَحْيَى بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَدْ تَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ شُعْبَةُ وَهُوَ يَحْيَى بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ مَدَنِيٌّ .
Suwayd bin Nasr told us, Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak told us, Yahya bin Ubaid Allah told us, he said, I heard my father say, I heard my father Kitten, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “No one dies without regret.” They said, “What is his regret, O Messenger of God?” He said. If he was a doer of good, he will regret it, as long as it has not increased, and if he has been evil, he will regret it, as long as it has not been removed.” Abu Issa said, “This is a hadith. We only know it from Shu'bah spoke about this aspect. Yahya bin Ubayd Allah spoke about it, and he is Yahya bin Ubayd Allah bin Mawhib Madani.
