Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28585

Suwayd bin Nasr told us, Ibn Al-Mubarak told us, Ismail bin Muslim told us, on the authority of Al-Hasan and Qatada, on the authority of Anas, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And he said, “The son of Adam will be brought on the Day of Resurrection as if he were a lamb, and he will stand before God, and God will say to him, ‘I gave you I have given you authority and bestowed blessings upon you, so what have you done? He will say, O Lord, I gathered it and made it fruitful, but I left it as much as it was, so return to me and I will bring it to you. So he says to him, “Show me what you have put forward.” So he says, “O Lord, I gathered it and made it fruitful, but I left it as much as it was, so bring me back and I will bring it to you.” So, behold, a servant Why? He offers good and is taken to Hell.” Abu Issa said: This hadith was narrated by more than one person on the authority of Al-Hasan, but they did not support it. Ismail bin Muslim is weakened in the hadith due to its memorization. And in the chapter on the authority of Abu Hurairah and Abu Saeed Al-Khudri.
