Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28833

Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, Yazid bin Harun told us, Al-Masoudi told us, on the authority of Abd al-Malik bin Umair, on the authority of Ibn Jarir bin Abdullah, on the authority of his father, said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever establishes a good practice and it is followed will have his reward and the same reward as those who follow him.” Their rewards will not be diminished in the slightest. And whoever establishes an evil practice and it is followed therefrom, his burden will be upon him, and like the burdens of those who followed him, it will not be diminished. “And on the authority of Hudhayfah, Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
