Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28834

Abu Issa, this is a good and authentic hadith. Thawr bin Yazid narrated, on the authority of Khalid bin Ma’dan, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Amr. Al-Sulami, on the authority of Al-Irbad bin Sariyah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, something similar to this. Al-Hasan bin Ali Al-Khallal and more than one person narrated this to us. They said Abu Asim told us on the authority of Thawr ibn Yazid, on the authority of Khalid ibn Ma’dan, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman ibn Amr al-Sulami, on the authority of al-Irbad ibn Sariya on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and Al-Irbad bin Sariya was nicknamed Abu Najih.
