حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَابَاهُ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ إِنَّمَا قَالَ اللَّهُ : ( أَنْ تَقْصُرُوا مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ إِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ) وَقَدْ أَمِنَ النَّاسُ . فَقَالَ عُمَرُ عَجِبْتُ مِمَّا عَجِبْتَ مِنْهُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " صَدَقَةٌ تَصَدَّقَ اللَّهُ بِهَا عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْبَلُوا صَدَقَتَهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Abd bin Humaid told us, Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, he said, I heard Abd al-Rahman bin Abd Allah bin Abi Ammar, He narrates on the authority of Abdullah bin Babah, on the authority of Ali bin Umayyah, who said: I said to Omar bin Al-Khattab: God only said: (Lest you fall short of Prayer if you fear that those who disbelieve will tempt you.) And the people have believed. Then Omar said, “I am astonished at what I was astonished at, so I mentioned that to the Messenger of God.” May God bless him and grant him peace, and he said: “It is charity that God has given to you, so accept His charity.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
