Hadith #29489
Saeed bin Yahya bin Saeed the Umayyad told us, my father told me, he said, This is what we presented to Hisham bin Urwa on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aisha, She said: It was revealed: (He frowned and turned away) about Ibn Umm Maktum, the blind man, who came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and began to say, O Messenger of God, guide me. And with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was a man of the great polytheists, so he made the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, turn away from him and turn to the other and say, “Do you see what I am saying?” It is difficult, and it is said, “No.” This is what was revealed. Abu Issa said, “This is a good and strange hadith.” Some of them narrated this hadith. On the authority of Hisham ibn Urwa, on the authority of his father, he said: It was revealed: (He frowned and turned away) about Ibn Umm Maktum. It did not mention the authority of Aisha.
