Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27330

Nasr bin Ali told us, Issa bin Yunus told us, on the authority of Mujalid, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, on the authority of Jabir, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said, “Do not enter upon unseen things.” “For Satan draws blood from one of you.” We said, “And from you.” He said, “And from me.” But God helped me with it. So he embraced Islam.” Abu Issa said, “This is a strange hadith from this perspective. Some of them spoke about Mujalid bin Sa’id before.” He memorized it. And I heard Ali bin Khashram say, Sufyan bin Uyaynah said in interpreting the saying of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, “But God helped me with it.” So he became Muslim. Meaning, I am from it. Sufyan said, “And Satan does not submit.” And “Do not enter into the unseen things.” And the unseen ones. The woman whose husband is absent, and the absent women are the group of absent women.
